An Indianna University study analyzes the effects on the caregiver for Alzheimer's care.

Alzheimer's Association

This is the National Alzheimer's Association Web site which has a great number of resources available both nationally and locally.

Large portions of this site are geared towards those living with Alzheimer's which provides a much needed perspective.  Dealing with parents suffering from Alzheimer's, it is easy to forget their point of view.  Though, we, as care givers are taking time and resources to help them, they are losing their memories and know they may eventually lose the way of life they have enjoyed for so long.

There are specific sections of the site to help with "Caring for Alzheimer's." Embarking on caring for an elderly parent can be difficult, adding Alzheimer's or Demetia to the mix can make things impossible.  This Caring for Alzheimer's section contains information so you will know ahead of time what to expect, maybe taking the sting out of some tough situations.
